How To Do LED Display Maintenance And Upkeep?

As Christmas and New Year is coming, we cannot ignore the precautions for using LED screens and the knowledge of daily maintenance. Large LED displays are like traditional electronic products. During use, we not only need to pay attention to the methods, but also need to carry out maintenance on the display screen. Maintenance can make the LED screen last longer. Now let's find out together:

 

Things to note when switching the screen

1. Open LED Display: first turn on the control computer so that it can operate normally, and then turn on the large LED display screen;

2. Turn off LED screen: first turn off the power of LED screen, turn off the control software, and then turn off the computer correctly; (turning off the computer first without turning off LED display will cause highlights to appear on the screen and burn out the lamp, with serious consequences)

3. The interval between switching LED Video Wall on and off should be greater than 5 minutes;

4. Avoid opening LED screen in a completely white screen state, because this is the maximum power state, which will cause an impact current on the entire power distribution system.

 

Precautions for power supply

1. LED module is powered by DC +5V (working voltage: 4.2~5.2V). It is prohibited to use AC power supply; it is strictly forbidden to connect the positive and negative poles of the power terminals in reverse (note: once reversed, the product will be burned or even cause a serious fire) ;

2. Power supply voltage of LED display: 220V±10% Frequency: 50HZ±5%;

3. The ground contact is safe and reliable, the isolation between the ground wire and the neutral wire is reliable, and the power supply is connected away from high-power backup;

4. If any abnormalities such as short circuit, tripping, wire burning, smoke, etc. are found, power on and test should not be repeated and the problem should be found in time;

5. Keep the power supply stable and provide grounding protection to avoid lightning strikes. Do not use it under harsh natural conditions, especially strong lightning weather;

6. The power supply for large LED screen must be supplied step by step, because the power state of the entire screen will have an impact on the entire power distribution system;

 

LED display screen is not allowed to play the full white picture with maximum brightness for more than half an hour, so as to avoid excessive current, heating of the power cord, damage to the LED light, and affecting the service life of the display screen. It is recommended to mainly play dynamic videos;

During the use of LED Display, the power cannot be turned on and off continuously, and there should be at least 1 minute between operations;

9. Non-professionals are prohibited from touching the internal circuitry of large LED display screen to avoid electric shock or damage to the circuitry.

 

Cleaning precautions

1. Regular cleaning and maintenance: When LED Video Wall is used for a long time, more dust and traces of rain erosion will accumulate on LED screen, which requires regular and timely cleaning to prevent it from affecting the viewing effect;

2. If you want to clean the surface of the module, please use a soft-bristled brush and brush gently. It is prohibited to use any liquid substance to clean the surface of the LED module, otherwise the LED lamp beads may be damaged;

3. Wipe correctly: The surface of large LED display can be wiped with alcohol, or dusted with a brush or vacuum cleaner. It cannot be wiped directly with a wet cloth.

 

Moisture-proof and storage requirements

Storage temperature requirements: ambient temperature -40℃≤t≤60℃. After opening the package, LED Displays must be stored in an environment with a temperature <30℃ and a humidity <60%;

According to the environmental conditions of the LED display and control part, avoid insect bites and place anti-rodent poison if necessary;

3. LED display cannot be turned off for a long time. In a high-humidity environment, if LED screen is not used for more than 3 days , every time you light up the LED screen, you need to use the preheating lighting method: 30%-50% brightness is preheated for 4-8 hours first, and then adjusted to normal brightness (80%-*) to light up the LED screen, thereby reducing the humidity. If the LED screen has not been used for more than 7 days, the preheating lighting method must be used every time the screen is lit: 30%-50% brightness must be preheated for more than 12 hours before adjustment. Light up the screen to normal brightness (80%-*) to eliminate moisture so that there are no abnormalities during use.

 

Precautions

Large LED Billboard needs to be checked regularly to see if it is working properly. If the circuit is damaged, it must be repaired or replaced in time. The main control computer and other related equipment should be placed in an air-conditioned, dust-free room to ensure ventilation, heat dissipation and stable operation of the computer. Non-professionals are prohibited from touching the internal circuits of the LED screen to avoid electric shock or damage to the circuits. If a problem occurs, professionals should be asked to repair it.
